Hi - I'm Stacy.
I am currently on the Savage City Council, and I am grateful for the people who have trusted me to serve. Savage has made meaningful progress over the past four years, and there is still important work ahead.
I am running for a second term because I care about our community and I believe experience matters. I've been directly involved in the conversations, decisions, planning, and work shaping Savage's future. I understand where we have been, where we are today, and what still needs to be done.
During my first term, Savage has completed important long-term planning, continued improving our transportation infrastructure, strengthened our public safety model, worked through significant organizational changes, and continued conversations about the future of our parks, downtown, and business community.
The next four years should be about building on that progress and continuing to move forward - not starting over.

Progress in savage - what we've been working on
Planning for the Future of Our Parks
Savage completed a Parks Master Plan that gives us a clear vision for our parks, trails, recreation opportunities, and open spaces. The next step is prioritizing projects and funding them responsibly so that vision becomes reality.
Strengthening Public Safety
Public safety is one of the most important responsibilities of local government. Savage’s fire department has been transitioning toward more full-time staffing to meet the changing needs of our community, and I am proud to have been part of those important conversations and decisions.
A Vision for Downtown Savage
Savage completed a downtown visioning process that identified opportunities for the future of our downtown. Now the work is implementation - setting priorities, identifying funding, and making practical decisions that move us from vision to action.
Continuing to Move Highway 13 Forward
Highway 13 is one of the most important transportation corridors in Savage and for the entire region. Improvements have continued to progress, and our city staff, Mayor and Council have been working with Scott County, MnDOT and regional partners to keep pushing for the remaining improvements to finally finish that project.
Thoughtful Growth in a Nearly Built-Out Community
Savage has limited land left for future development, which means every decision matters. We need to be thoughtful about what we build, where we build it, and how new development fits into the community while still supporting responsible businesses that want to invest here.
More about stacy
My husband and I moved to Savage in 2009 and have lived here for over 17 years now - crazy! As our two daughters were born and our family has grown, so has my commitment to the community where they are growing up.
I believe local government works best when leaders are prepared, engaged, willing to listen, and focused on the long-term interests of the community. I bring a combination of professional, civic, and community experience to my work on Savage City Council. My professional background is in civil engineering and business development, including work focused on funding and complex projects. I am a registered civil engineer in Minnesota. That experience has taught me how to evaluate challenges, understand financial considerations, bring people together, and think about long-term outcomes. I have also served on the Savage Planning Commission and other community boards, giving me experience with the planning and regional partnerships that affect our community.
As a City Council member, I have been directly involved in the decisions and conversations shaping Savage's future - from public safety and transportation to parks, downtown planning, economic development, city operations, and responsible growth. I also serve as the Savage representative on the Minnesota Valley Transit Authority (MVTA) Board.
In my "spare time" I coach youth club volleyball, where I have learned many of the same lessons that apply to leadership: preparation matters, teamwork matters, communication matters, and progress does not always happen overnight.
I am running for reelection because I love our community and I believe Savage has important work ahead. I know where we have been over the past 4 years and I understand where we are now. I am ready to keep working on what comes next. I would be honored to continue serving Savage for a second term.
